This is very embarrassing. The South Africans loathe us 'Central Africans'. They loathe us because they say we are stealing their precious jobs. They say they do not want any more of us.
It's not difficult to see why the RSA is the destination of choice. As far as they are concerned, we are 'disillusioned trekkers' who arrive from the 'ragbag' of basket-case countries.
Well, the South Africans may have forgotten of the sacrifices we 'central Africans' we had to take to ensure their freedom, but they must know that we also want a taste that 'African Renaissance' that Thabo Mbeki is always bragging about. Is it wrong to want a better life? How many white South Africans have left South Africa for Australia?
They may see us as 'stupid thin men with voluptuous women who prefer to wander around in badly fitting army uniforms, burying machetes in the skulls of those who annoy them and look for somewhere new to loot', but we have far more dignity than they ever had when they were held hostage in their own land.
Can you believe that they see the ones who have headed to their country as 'the intelligent' ones of the rotten lot?? Well, I have news for them. They are the coward losers who can't stay home and be a part of the struggle. And if these coward losers are the ones taking up teaching jobs in RSA, I feel sorry for your education system!
Are you intelligent if you like the fact that the locals resent your presence? In RSA, unemployment is on the increase. Illegal immigrants are seen as parasites who compete with the locals for jobs, land, houses and any government handout that happens to be going.
Even those who arrive on SA soil and immediately set up as street hawkers have been made to feel unwelcome. This may be because they are showing a willingness to do proper work, which many unemployed locals find offensive.
The preferred method of survival by the people of RSA is to hang glumly around on street corners asking more industrious folk for money while offering absolutely nothing in return! At least we 'Central Africans' work for our bread. We understand economic reality, which is why we often turn out to be much more reliable workers than the local SA labour. And on top of that, we from 'the other part of Africa' are exploited as a source of cheap labour!
Thanks a lot RSA for all your help! We are happy to remain right here in 'killing fields of Central Africa'. You can have our losers if you want. They would not be of use if they can't kill, will they?
